How often do you say "I love you" ?

Yesterday night after I put the girls to sleep, as ordinarily I checked my favourite blogs, and I realised that it was Valentine's day! Alas, I missed it this year too! :) I was never a Valentine's day fan, I have to admit it. And yes, I am totally in love for the last 9 years! Even though I don't celebrate this day, I actually enjoy the red and pink atmosphere around! Besides, I discover many delicious recipes, wonderful outfits and amusing craft/gift ideas around the web!

Particularly, Cup of Jo shared a thought provoking post about how often/ easy different cultures say "I love you". According to this study, the use of the locution ‘‘I love you’’ fluctuates greatly across cultures. On the whole, each culture has a special way to express their feelings. Indubitably Americans say the words "I love you" easier and more frequently than Chinese (take a look on this survey for more details) , and in fact, Western cultures are far more likely to say the "L" word to their loved ones rather than Asiatic and Japanese (nice article here for Art of Kokuhaku). I say it constantly, I don't think that cheapens it.. I feel awesome when people say it back to me! What about you?

Meanwhile I wish you a wonderful and lovable weekend with some nice links on the web:

    1. Avy, your comment struck me so I read some of your recent posts, you write very nice, as if your life was a novel. You are a dreamer, and that's kind of love...and what about Henry?:)

  10. I tell my husband I love him several times a day and I probably tell my twin girls a hundred times a day... I need to talk about my feeling to the people I love.
